According to international news reports, Palestinian sources indicate that the Israeli military is not only relying on its own equipment to demolish the remaining Palestinian homes behind the buffer zone but is also employing civilian contractor machinery to carry out the demolition operations against Palestinian properties in Gaza.

The buffer zone, as defined by the Israeli occupying forces under a plan by former U.S. President Donald Trump, encompasses over 55% of the Gaza Strip’s area. The Israeli army continues to expand this zone, violating ceasefire agreements. The buffer zone stretches from the north in Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun to the eastern regions of Gaza, and from Beit Hanoun to Rafah along the border with Egypt.Recent images and videos captured in the past few days show vehicles affiliated with Israeli civilian companies in the eastern areas of the Jabalia refugee camp, alongside the presence of Israeli officers and soldiers overseeing the demolition operations. Not a single day passes without the occupying forces conducting demolition activities on Palestinian homes near the buffer zone. These demolitions are executed through bombings followed by nighttime destruction of the structures.

This operation reflects the political and security strategy of the Israeli regime to maintain its footholds and establish military bases with permanent military teams stationed there.A resident named Ahed Fanoun from the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza reported that her home has been completely destroyed due to the demolition operations, forcing her to live in a tent under harsh humanitarian conditions.

She stated that demolition activities in the eastern parts of Gaza City continue daily, carried out either by Israeli soldiers or certain contractors involved in these operations.Another resident Mohammad Al-Sharif from northern Gaza mentioned that the Israeli regime demolished his home in the Jabalia refugee camp within the last two weeks.

In this context Mustafa Ibrahim a Palestinian writer and political analyst noted that the demolition operations in Gaza have not ceased since the ceasefire; instead they have systematically increased. He told Al-Arabi Al-Jadid that the Israeli army has escalated its demolition tactics utilizing bombs drones and bomb-laden tanks to destroy homes. This policy is linked to a genocidal campaign and an effort to reshape the engineering of the Gaza Strip.
