According to reports from the international news agency Tasnim, Ismail Baqaei, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, denounced the Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanon, particularly in the Beqaa region. These attacks have resulted in casualties and significant damage to Lebanon’s infrastructure.Baqaei called for urgent action from the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security. He highlighted the ongoing violations of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, criticizing the prolonged silence and inaction of the Security Council regarding the lawlessness and crimes committed by the Israeli regime.Furthermore he emphasized the direct responsibility of the United States and France as guarantors of the ceasefire in perpetuating this troubling situation.
