Increased Restrictions on Entry to Jerusalem for Friday Prayers During Ramadan

Local sources from the West Bank report that the Israeli regime has intensified security measures and stringent restrictions to prevent residents from entering Jerusalem for the second Friday prayers of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to reports many individuals from the West Bank have been barred from entering Jerusalem to participate in the Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa. The Israeli military has deployed extensive forces including officers at checkpoints leading into Jerusalem. This action is part of a broader strategy aimed at restricting or limiting the presence of worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Recent weeks have seen a noticeable increase in security measures surrounding Jerusalem and its entry points with residents facing more rigorous inspections. Last week numerous individuals were also denied entry to Jerusalem to attend the first Friday prayers of Ramadan at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
