Israeli Finance Minister Vows to Erase Palestinian Statehood Aspirations

Bezalel Smotrich the Finance Minister of the Israeli government has publicly declared his intention to dismantle the aspirations for an independent Palestinian state. This statement came in response to remarks made by Mohammad Mustafa the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority regarding the formation of a sovereign Palestinian nation.

In a notable slip Smotrich mistakenly referred to Mustafa as Mohammad Shtayyeh a former Prime Minister while asserting that the dream of a Palestinian state would be eradicated. He emphasized that there would only be one nation in the region which he identified as the ‘Jewish state from the river to the sea.’
