According to reports from the International News Agency, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated, “We must acknowledge that there was a vulnerability, but we have now overcome it. The 12-day war taught us many lessons, and this was one of them. All high-ranking commanders who were targeted were immediately replaced, and we began our self-defense from the very first day. The night Israel attacked, we responded with missile strikes, and our attacks became more precise and targeted each day.”

He further noted, “On the twelfth day, the Israelis requested an unconditional ceasefire. The Americans contacted me, saying that Israel would halt its actions, and we should do the same. We announced that we would accept an unconditional ceasefire; otherwise, we would continue our self-defense.”

The Foreign Minister clarified “What occurred was a terrorist operation. If India were faced with a similar terrorist act it would undoubtedly defend itself in the same manner.”
