Narendra Modi’s Reflection on Yoga’s Growth in Israel

During his speech at the Knesset in Israel Prime Minister Narendra Modi recounted his first visit to the country in 2006. At that time there were only a handful of yoga centers available reflecting the limited reach of this ancient practice.

Today however the landscape has dramatically changed. Yoga has proliferated across numerous neighborhoods becoming a common practice embraced by many. This transformation highlights not only the growing popularity of yoga but also its integration into the cultural fabric of Israeli society.
