Jordan’s King Emphasizes Diplomatic Channels to Mitigate Tensions with Iran
King Abdullah II of Jordan highlighted the significance of diplomatic dialogue in his recent meeting with the President of Indonesia, emphasizing the necessity of reducing tensions associated with Iran.
According to a statement from the Jordanian royal office, Abdullah II and President Joko Widodo convened at the Al-Bashir Palace in Amman, where they discussed strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation in alignment with the interests of both nations and to achieve regional stability.
The Jordanian monarch expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s role in addressing regional challenges, particularly its support for peace efforts in Palestine and its commitment to assist the Palestinian people in Gaza. He conveyed hope for further discussions on collaboration within this framework.In response the President of Indonesia reaffirmed his country’s dedication to striving for sustainable peace based on a two-state solution deeming it the only viable path to regional stability. He also announced Indonesia’s support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
