According to reports from Mehr News Agency citing Al-Akhbar, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a critical phone conversation focusing on the immediate execution of the commitments outlined in the second phase of the U.S. President’s initiative regarding Gaza.
Both parties underscored their comprehensive support for the ‘National Committee for Gaza Management’ to ensure effective governance within the region. They also discussed the deployment of international stabilization forces to monitor the ceasefire, facilitate early reconstruction efforts, and guarantee the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of Gaza. This diplomatic dialogue comes at a time when the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) stressed the necessity of safe access for civilians to provide essential services. Meanwhile the media office of the Gaza government announced the impending halt of operations by the World Central Kitchen attributing this suspension to the operational hindrances caused by the Israeli regime.
