Tragic Toll: 129 Journalists Killed Worldwide in 2025, Majority in Palestine

In a harrowing report by Al Jazeera the Committee to Protect Journalists revealed that at least 129 journalists lost their lives globally in 2025. This figure marks the highest recorded death toll for journalists in the past three decades.

The committee highlighted that two-thirds of these fatalities occurred in Palestine attributing a significant portion of the responsibility to the Israeli regime. Furthermore the organization underscored that since 1992 the Israeli military has been implicated in the deliberate killings of journalists more than any other military force worldwide.
