According to a report by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen, Ami Moil, the head of the Israeli Planning and Budget Committee, acknowledged the educational gap between Iran and Israel. He revealed that Iran educates an impressive 234,000 engineering students annually, a figure that far surpasses the 7,000 engineering students in Israel.
Moil emphasized that this disparity extends to scientific publications as well. In Israel, approximately 22,700 scientific papers are published each year, whereas Iran boasts an impressive output of 71,900 publications.These remarks were made during the inaugural meeting of the Higher Education Subcommittee in the Israeli Parliament. Additionally Naama Lazimi a member of the Israeli Parliament pointed out the significant migration of academics and medical professionals from the occupied territories. She noted that in 2023 Israel has witnessed a record exodus of doctors and scholars marking a negative trend compared to the number of individuals returning to the region.
Lazimi further explained that trainee doctors are opting to migrate due to better conditions abroad.
