Hamas Remains Resilient Amid Post-War Dynamics, Claims Israeli Analyst

In a recent article published by the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom analyst Eyal Zisser acknowledges Hamas’s strategic approach in the post-war landscape. He asserts that the group’s deliberate choice to remain in the shadows may inadvertently bolster its power particularly in light of the proposed peace council supported by former President Trump.

Zisser emphasizes that despite widespread discussions about disarming Hamas and removing it from governance in the Gaza Strip no concrete actions have been taken to achieve this goal. On the contrary Hamas representatives continue to affirm their commitment to maintaining their arsenal and express reluctance to relinquish their weapons.

The current ceasefire has provided Hamas with a unique opportunity to rebuild its strength allowing the organization to quietly fortify its position while the international community grapples with the complexities of the situation.
