Gaza Municipality Reports Severe Water Shortage Crisis

The Gaza Municipality has reported that the water shortage in the city has escalated to a staggering 90% of the daily requirements prior to the conflict. This alarming figure highlights the critical state of water supply for the residents of Gaza exacerbated by the ongoing interruption of water supply lines by the Mekorot company.

Tariq Shahab the water affairs official at the Gaza Municipality emphasized that the situation continues to worsen. In response to this dire crisis the municipality is implementing measures to alleviate the impact of the water shortage. Efforts include activating private water wells and extending the operational hours of the remaining wells to ensure that at least a minimal amount of water is available for certain areas of the city.
