Global Central Kitchen Halts Operations in Gaza Due to Humanitarian Aid Restrictions

The Global Central Kitchen has announced the suspension of its cooking and food distribution activities in the Gaza Strip effective from next Friday until further notice.

In a statement the organization highlighted that extensive restrictions at border crossings and a significant decrease in the number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid have created serious challenges for continued operations.

This announcement indicates that the reduced influx of food items and fuel has disrupted the preparation and distribution of meals for the residents of Gaza forcing the organization to temporarily cease its operations.
