On Tuesday, a group of Israeli settlers attacked the village of Tal, setting fire to the entrance of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque. Reports indicate that the assailants also inscribed racist slogans on the walls of the mosque. Fortunately, their attempt to completely engulf the mosque in flames was thwarted, and the damage was limited to the entrance area.The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned this act stating that the collective effort by the occupying settlers to burn the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque had failed. The ministry noted that these groups carry out such actions under the protection of occupying forces revealing that in 2025 45 mosques in various regions were targeted for assault.
