Hamas Welcomes Statement from 20 Nations Condemning Israeli Annexation Plans

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has expressed its approval of a statement issued by 20 Arab Islamic and European countries condemning the Israeli government’s plans to expand its actions aimed at consolidating control and annexing the occupied West Bank. Hamas views this position as a significant step in the right direction to counter the expansionist agenda of the occupiers which constitutes a blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

In its statement Hamas called upon these nations along with all countries worldwide to translate the contents of this declaration into tangible and effective actions. This includes the implementation of deterrent sanctions and exerting pressure on the occupying government to halt its annexation policies settlement expansion and forced displacement as well as to put an end to the comprehensive and organized aggression against the people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
