Hamas Condemns Attack on Mosque in West Bank by Israeli Settlers

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement on Monday evening condemning the actions of Israeli settlers who stormed a mosque in the West Bank and set it ablaze.

Hamas characterized the arson of the ‘Abu Bakr al-Siddiq’ mosque in the village of Tal, located west of Nablus, as a fascist and organized crime. The movement denounced the writing of racist slogans on the mosque’s walls as a blatant violation of religious sites and Islamic sanctities. This act represents a gross infringement of international laws and norms that safeguard places of worship and religious observance.

The movement urged the sons of the struggling nation to initiate a widespread effort to protect mosques and sacred sites from the assaults and criminal destruction perpetrated by settlers, emphasizing the need to confront these recurring transgressions.Hamas further called upon the United Nations and all international human rights organizations to denounce this criminal fascist behavior. They demanded accountability for the perpetrators and the leaders of the occupying state urging that they be prosecuted for their open incitement to commit these brutal crimes against the people and the sacred sites of both Islamic and Christian faiths.
