Campaign Launched for the Arrest of Israeli Soldier with Turkish Citizenship

A media campaign has emerged in Turkey calling for the arrest of an Israeli female soldier who holds Turkish citizenship. This follows a report indicating that approximately 50000 dual citizens serve in the Israel Defense Forces among whom 112 are identified as having Turkish nationality.

According to Itamar Eichner a journalist for the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth social media posts have circulated under the title ‘Urgent’ revealing that this Israeli soldier resides in Istanbul and possesses dual citizenship.

Furthermore images shared from a public Instagram account suggest that she previously served in the Israel Defense Forces and has expressed support for military operations conducted by Israel since October 7 2023.
