The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, indicated that Rubio is still planning the visit to Israel but that the schedule remains subject to change.Initially, Rubio was expected to meet with Netanyahu on Saturday. However, Israeli media reports now suggest that he is likely to travel there next Monday.
This visit comes at a time when Washington and Tel Aviv have been engaged in intense discussions regarding Iran in recent weeks.Earlier, Reuters reported that Rubio was set to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu during this trip to update him on the latest developments regarding nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
