According to reports from international news agencies, following Benjamin Netanyahu’s latest inflammatory comments against resistance movements and his claims of forming a new regional axis involving Arab nations, Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas, stated that Netanyahu’s audacious remarks signify blatant disregard and humiliation of Arab countries, posing a direct threat to their interests.
Qassem emphasized that Netanyahu, in a clear display of indifference towards influential Arab nations, speaks of creating a new axis that includes these countries, which inherently contradicts their interests.He asserted that the illegitimate Zionist entity which is alien to our region and its history seeks to establish its alliances with U.S. support which will inevitably conflict with Arab interests.
The Hamas spokesperson pointed out that Netanyahu’s rhetoric stems from the weak position of the Arab world during the ongoing genocidal conflict against Gaza and any regional arrangements that overlook Palestinian rights will not contribute to stability in the region.
These comments from the Hamas spokesperson followed Netanyahu’s recent declarations where he stated ‘We are working on creating a new axis against the Shiite axis.’ The Israeli Prime Minister claimed that this new axis includes India several Arab African and Mediterranean countries including Cyprus and Greece.
