According to Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Darwish, the head of Hamas’s leadership council, addressed a letter to Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, congratulating him on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and expressing wishes for the prosperity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this letter, he provided a detailed account of the latest developments regarding the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.Darwish emphasized Hamas’s full commitment to the ceasefire agreement while highlighting the blatant violations by the Israeli regime. These violations include daily attacks on Palestinian areas, ongoing killings of Palestinians—particularly women and children—arrests of Palestinians, severe restrictions on humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip, obstructions at the Rafah crossing, and hindrances to the movement of Palestinian citizens. Furthermore, he noted the prevention of the reconstruction of vital infrastructure.In the concluding section of his letter the Hamas leader stressed the urgent need for mediators and the international community to compel the occupying regime to fulfill its commitments. This includes an immediate cessation of killings genocide and violations of Palestinian rights adherence to the terms regarding the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza lifting restrictions related to the Rafah crossing facilitating the movement of travelers allowing the entry of fuel equipment and machinery necessary for infrastructure reconstruction and respecting humanitarian rules. He also called for an end to the torture and mistreatment of Palestinian detainees.
