He stressed that recognizing Israel is ‘not at all on the agenda,’ and such an option is not under consideration by Pakistan.Discussing Pakistan’s participation in the ‘Gaza Peace Committee’ meeting in Washington he clarified that any potential involvement by Pakistan in a peacekeeping role in Gaza would depend on a precise transparent and reliable definition of the mission and its scope.

The Defense Minister highlighted Pakistan’s responsible approach in international peacekeeping missions stating that Islamabad consistently operates within the framework of international laws while upholding its moral and political principles. He assured that no actions contrary to Pakistan’s historical commitment to the Palestinian cause would be taken.
