According to reports from Mashreq, citing Al-Manar news network, the occupying Israeli army has once again breached the ceasefire by targeting a region between Blida and Aitaroun with artillery fire.
Simultaneously, Lebanese sources reported that an enemy drone dropped a sound bomb in the outskirts of Wadi Hunin in southern Lebanon.In recent weeks Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire conducting air and artillery strikes on southern Lebanon actions that have faced widespread condemnation both domestically and regionally.
On October 1 2024 Israel initiated its aggressions against Lebanon and after two months a ceasefire was signed on Wednesday December 7 through U.S. mediation.
As per the agreement Israeli forces were to withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days. However contrary to international law Israel has maintained its troops in five strategic positions in southern Lebanon and has failed to vacate the area. Since the ceasefire was signed Israel has repeatedly violated the terms of the agreement.
