Student Vigilance in Countering Anti-Revolutionary Calls

Today, universities marked the second day of the academic semester as students attended their classes. In several institutions, ceremonies and gatherings were held to honor the martyrs and victims of the coup that occurred in December.

Around noon, students from various universities in Tehran and Mashhad gathered on their campuses, chanting slogans denouncing the United States and Israel, expressing their disgust towards the recent coup instigators.

At Sharif University, students set fire to flags of the United States and Israel, while those at the University of Tehran condemned the perpetrators of the recent coup and the martyrdom of the nation’s youth through their chants. At Khajeh Nasir al-Din Tusi University, students voiced their discontent with the former regime, proclaiming, ‘The awakened student despises the Pahlavi.’

Additionally, students from the University of Tehran and the University of Science and Technology performed their noon prayers on campus.

Amidst these events, a group at several universities, including Sharif, Amir Kabir, Tehran, Khajeh Nasir, and Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, attempted to create disturbances by throwing stones and bottles, aiming to disrupt the university’s tranquility. However, these individuals dispersed after a short while, thanks to the vigilance of the students that quelled the unrest.

Since yesterday, hostile media outlets had issued calls to provoke and disrupt the peaceful environment of universities just before the commencement of the second semester.
