According to international reports from the news agency Student, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 86 Ukrainian drones over several regions, including Belgorod, Saratov, Voronezh, Smolensk, Bryansk, and Kursk during the previous night.
The third round of peace negotiations concerning Ukraine was held in Geneva, Switzerland, featuring representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States.Despite multiple rounds of negotiations, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine persists. Territorial disputes remain the primary obstacle to reaching an agreement between the two parties.
Both Russia and Ukraine are striving to maintain and expand their controlled territories to secure an advantage on the battlefield and in negotiations.Previously Matthew Whitaker the U.S. permanent representative to NATO stated that Washington anticipates resolution of territorial disputes in the coming days and weeks.
He noted that participants in the negotiation process aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis are currently working on four final documents including a 20-point peace plan a set of multilateral security guarantees specific U.S. security assurances and an economic growth and recovery program post-peace.
