According to reports from international news agencies, a coalition of 14 Arab and Islamic countries has reacted strongly to the U.S. Ambassador’s assertion that the Israeli regime holds sovereignty over the region from the Nile to the Euphrates. These nations have condemned the remarks as unfounded and dangerous. The statement articulates that the Ambassador’s comments, which imply acceptance of Israel’s control over Arab lands, including the West Bank, represent a blatant violation of international law and pose a serious threat to regional security and stability. The statement further emphasizes, ‘We reiterate that there is no sovereignty for Israel over occupied Palestinian territories or any Arab land under occupation, and we reject any attempts to annex the West Bank or separate it from the Gaza Strip.’Signatories of this statement include the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, along with the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, and the Gulf Cooperation Council. In addition to this joint statement, various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, have also responded independently. On Friday Mike Huckabee claimed in an interview with American host Tucker Carlson that based on biblical texts the Israeli regime has a right to sovereignty over the area from the Nile to the Euphrates asserting that if Israel were to act on this claim it would be ‘acceptable’ and ‘good.’
