According to reports from the Hebrew newspaper Maariv, retired Major General Isaac Brick of the Israeli army stated that the commitment to achieve total victory has not materialized, and the removal of Hamas remains a distant goal.

Brick emphasized that while they were assured of complete victory, the reality is that the destruction of Hamas feels as far away as the distance between East and West.He remarked ‘We have never witnessed such a strategic humiliation.’ Despite having the world’s most advanced air force and armored divisions in the field for two years Israel has been unable to defeat this movement.

The retired general underscored that this represents a significant operational and leadership failure.
