According to reports, a group of Israeli settlers gathered on Friday evening outside Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in occupied Jerusalem, demanding his resignation.
The protesters chanted slogans and displayed signs urging the judiciary to reveal the truth and deliver justice regarding Netanyahu’s actions.Recent polling data in Israel indicates a substantial decline for Netanyahu’s party and coalition. The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that for the first time in two months Netanyahu’s opponents have managed to secure 61 seats in the Knesset.
This Hebrew-language media outlet noted that a significant aspect of this result is that the opposition achieved this milestone without the assistance of Arab parties. It suggests that if Naftali Bennett and Gadi Eisenkot join Yair Lapid the opposition’s seat count could reach 50.
