Saudi Official Critiques UAE’s Role as a Trojan Horse for Israel

In the midst of escalating tensions between the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia former Saudi Advisory Council member Ahmed Al-Tuwaijri criticized the UAE’s actions in various regional countries during an interview with Middle East Eye on Friday night.

Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the complex dynamics of the relationship between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi stating “In summary Abu Dhabi has transformed from being a sincere ally and brother to Saudi Arabia and the Arab world into a Trojan horse for Israel. Without acknowledging this reality the issues between Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi remain incomprehensible and the magnitude of the threat facing the Arab world cannot be accurately assessed.”

The Saudi official further emphasized the Israeli regime’s efforts to occupy significant portions of the Middle East asserting “I believe the time has come for not only the Arab world to recognize this reality and take genuine action to defend itself but I personally believe that the entire world must understand this. Israel is not just a danger to the Palestinians. This threat is not limited to Saudi Arabia Egypt or Syria; Israel poses a threat to the entire world.”
